Resources for Texas PACE program providers

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) accepts applications from prospective providers through its open enrollment procurement process to contract for the Community Living Assistance and Support Services (CLASS) Medicaid waiver program. Under the open enrollment process, contracts are awarded on a noncompetitive basis to eligible applicants meeting the qualifications and other requirements established by HHS. There is no end date or dollar amount associated with the contracts awarded through this solicitation.

The SSPD program provides services in a variety of settings to assist individuals in developing the skills needed to remain in the community as independently as possible. Services included in the service plan consist of counseling, personal care and help with the development of skills needed for independent living in the community. Texas HHS maintains CLASS choice lists for applicants, individuals or legally authorized representatives to use when choosing a Case Management Agency and Direct Services Agency. The lists are maintained for each CLASS catchment area and are updated monthly or as needed. 

Information for Community Living Assistance and Support Services (CLASS) program providers in Texas

Effective Aug. 1, 2023, the Texas Health and Human Services Commission and managed care organizations will no longer conduct EVV compliance reviews for required free text.

Program providers and financial management services agencies (FMSAs) who are using an Application Programming Interface (API) to integrate their third-party EVV vendor system with the HHAeXchange system must ensure they are properly using both systems when capturing and submitting EVV claims.

HHAeXchange is offering additional training sessions for EVV program providers, financial management services agencies (FMSAs), CDS employers and CDS employees.

This is a reminder that Electronic Visit Verification claims matching for all services required to use EVV will begin on Jan. 1, 2024.
