The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) updates our strategic plans every two years in accordance with Texas Government Code Chapter 2056. Each HHSC division and the Office of Inspector General contribute to the development of the strategic plans which define the system's mission, goals, objectives, and action items to address specific issues over a five-year period.
Senate Bill 956, Eighty-eighth Legislature, Regular Session, 2023, repealed the Health and Human Services System strategic plan. Health and human services agencies are no longer required to submit the coordinated strategic plan.
