Psychiatric services are provided to violent sexual predators so incapacitated by symptoms of their mental illness that they are unable to effectively participate in sex offender treatment as a term of their civil commitment to the Texas Civil Commitment Center, overseen by the Texas Civil Commitment Office, formerly, the Office of Violent Sex Offender Management.
