Nursing facilities (NF) participating in the Quality Incentive Payment Program (QIPP) are required to submit ongoing performance improvement project (PIP) updates each month as conditions of participation for program Components One and Two.
HHSC will publish a list of NFs who have not met their conditions of participation for every month in the SFY 2022 program year to the QIPP Provider Finance Webpage on or before October 5, 2022. HHSC will notify providers when the list is published and communicate further instructions for completing the remediation process at that time.
REQUIREMENTS
HHSC published the final requirements for these conditions of participation in November 2021 in the QIPP SFY 2022 Technical Specifications (PDF). Further information can be found from the SFY 2022 training webinar available at the QIPP Resources Webpage.
In accordance with 1TAC §353.1302, failure to remediate all conditions of participation will result in removal of the provider from the program and recoupment of all funds previously paid during the program period.
PROVIDER PERFORMANCE STATUS
As of this notice, there are many NFs who are missing at least one Component One or Component Two PIP update submission.
The best way to ensure your NF has met conditions of participation requirements is to submit the required PIP data and completed documentation through the QIPP Data Submission Portal for the month of August 2022.
