HHSC announced the structural completion of a new 240-bed hospital at Austin State Hospital. A construction crane placed the final beam atop the three-story building.

HHSC is coordinating with The University of Texas at Austin to preserve historical Austin State Hospital records to make them accessible for researchers and the public.
