HHSC accepts suggestions for clinical initiatives to improve the quality and efficiency of Medicaid services from the following groups as directed by Senate Bill 1542 of the 2013 Texas Legislature:
- State legislators
- Commissioners of state health and human services agencies
- Medical Care Advisory Committee
Each clinical initiative will undergo a preliminary review which will determine whether the clinical initiative warrants a full analysis based on the pre-determined criteria and available staff resources in the agency.
Proposals that warrant further analysis will be posted on this website for public comment for 30 days. HHSC staff will conduct a comprehensive analysis after the public comment period closes, and a final report will be published within six months of the proposal’s submission date.
