The quarterly report reflects activities and findings of the Data Analytics Unit.

Evaluating the use of benefits under the STAR Health program for children in foster care to better coordinate the provision of healthcare and use of those benefits.

This report provides important background on complex issues, including previous relevant legislation; the current landscape of group home regulation, including HHSC boarding home standards adopted at the local level; and recommendations for policymakers on how to potentially improve health and safety standards in these and other unregulated settings.

HHSC partners with the Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) to document a process to review a denial of services for STAR Health members.
