The STAR Kids Managed Care Advisory Committee (SKMCAC) was dissolved in December 2023, this is their final annual report to HHSC. This report needs to be posted in advance of 5/2 in order to be available to State Medicaid Managed Care Advisory Committee (SMMCAC) members and stakeholders. The former SKMCAC members are providing a presentation to the SMMCAC CYC subcommittee on 5/2 that will discuss the details of their final report.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services requires states to report on specific metrics designed to demonstrate states' progress towards restoring timely application processing and initiating and completing renewals of eligibility for all Medicaid and CHIP enrollees as Continuous Medicaid.

Texas began planning for the unwinding of continuous Medicaid coverage in the summer of 2020. HHSC employed a proactive, multi-pronged communications campaign to inform recipients, health care providers, advocates, and other stakeholders about its plan to unwind continuous Medicaid coverage.

The MOE Report contains the MOE information for each federal grant received by HHSC as of March 2024. MOE requirements mandate a level of financial effort a state must maintain for activities related to a specified public service.

The annual report reflects activities and findings of the Regulatory & Specialty Data Analytics Unit.
