Texas Council on Long-Term Care Facilities 2023 Report

The executive commissioner of HHSC appointed regulatory staff, IDR staff, and long-term care providers to the council. A key council objective is to submit a report no later than January 1, 2023, outlining its recommendations to the executive commissioner, the governor, the lieutenant governor, the speaker of the House of Representatives, and the chairs of the appropriate legislative committees.

Recovery Housing Evaluation and Study

Requires HHSC to conduct a study and submit to the legislature a written report containing the results of the study and any recommendations for legislative or other action, including policy changes and the adoption or implementation of best practices and training and technical assistance resources.

The Interoperability for Texas: Powering Health 2022 report provides an in-depth overview of interoperability enhancements within the Texas Health and Human Services agencies. Progress regarding interoperability of information technology systems continues to expand the exchange of electronic health information within Texas.

A study to assess the impact of revising the capitation rate setting strategy used to cover long-term care services and supports provided to members enrolled in the STAR+PLUS Medicaid managed care program, from a strategy based on the setting in which services are provided to a strategy based on a blended rate across settings.
