Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of Disability Prevention for Children (ODPC) work in preventing developmental disabilities while seeking to minimize the losses developmental disabilities cause, especially in infants and young children. ODPC strives to prevent intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDDs) in infants and children from conception to age 12 through provider and public education, partnerships with other state agencies and stakeholders, and evaluating state efforts to prevent developmental disabilities.
The annual Kidney Health Care (KHC) Program Report provides a description of benefits to eligible clients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) and a discussion of expenditures and drug manufacturers rebates in fiscal year 2022.

HHSC partners with the Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) to document a process to review a denial of services for STAR Health members.
The Texas Health and Safety Code, Chapter 260 governing boarding home facilities Section 260.003, requires the executive commissioner of the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) to develop and publish model standards for the operations of a boarding home facility, and it specifies that these standards must address elements such as construction, fire safety, sanitary conditions, reporting and investigation of injuries and incidents, staff education, and assessment of residents.
