This report addresses requirements in Health and Safety Code §553.0515(e) which provides activities to update the bed-day allocation methodology and utilization review protocol; the outcomes of the implementation of the bed-day allocation methodology by region; as well as any recommendations of HHSC or the Joint Committee on Access and Forensic Services (JCAFS) to enhance the effective and efficient allocation of state-funded hospital beds.

This report addresses requirements in Health and Safety Code §614.013 and §614.017. Health and Safety Code §614.013 and §614.017 requires HHSC to submit a report to the Legislative Budget Board no later than September 1 of each fiscal year its efforts to facilitate the exchange of information between agencies. The report must include but is not limited to: the manner in which information is exchanged between agencies, the frequency with which information is exchanged, the type of information most frequently exchanged, and the agencies most frequently involved in the exchange of information. 

This report describes the amount of general revenue used by local mental health authorities in fiscal year 2020 to draw down additional federal funds through the 1115 Texas Medicaid Transformation Waiver.
