The Statewide Behavioral Health Coordinating Council has developed a new five-year behavioral health
strategic plan for fiscal years 2022 - 2026. This plan also includes a statewide, strategic approach to prevent and reduce justice involvement for those with behavioral health needs.

This report gives information on mental health waiting lists during the first two quarters of fiscal year 2021.

The presentation provides an overview of HHSC, including the agency's mission and vision, organizational structure, and key functions. It also covers the agency's Fiscal Year 2020-2021 update as well as a summary of House Bill 1 and the agency's exceptional item requests.

S.B. 55, 84th Legislature, Regular Session, 2015, created the Texas Veterans + Family Alliance (TV+FA) grant program. Since the program was established, HHSC has implemented five grant phases.

The Statewide Behavioral Health Strategic Plan Progress Report for Fiscal Year 2020 is prepared by the Statewide Behavioral Health Coordinating Council and discusses fiscal year 2020 progress and successes related to implementation of the Statewide Behavioral Health Strategic Plan.

This report addresses requirements in Health and Safety Code §614.013 and §614.017. Health and Safety Code §614.013 and §614.017 requires HHSC to submit a report to the Legislative Budget Board no later than September 1 of each fiscal year its efforts to facilitate the exchange of information between agencies. The report must include but is not limited to: the manner in which information is exchanged between agencies, the frequency with which information is exchanged, the type of information most frequently exchanged, and the agencies most frequently involved in the exchange of information. 

This report describes the amount of general revenue used by local mental health authorities in fiscal year 2020 to draw down additional federal funds through the 1115 Texas Medicaid Transformation Waiver.

The Fiscal Year 2020 Coordinated Statewide Behavioral Health Expenditure Proposal provides information regarding $4.2 billion in behavioral health funding reported from Statewide Behavioral Health Coordinating Council member agencies and institutions of higher education (including Medicaid behavioral health funding).

The Texas Statewide Behavioral Health Strategic Plan Progress Report is submitted in compliance with the 2020-2021 General Appropriations Act, House Bill (H.B.) 1, 86th Legislature, Regular Session, 2019 (Article IX, Section 10.04(c)). The report is prepared by the Statewide Behavioral Health Coordinating Council (SBHCC) and discusses progress and successes related to implementation of the Statewide Behavioral Health Strategic Plan.
