On July 1, HHSC submitted a good faith effort request to get federal approval to extend the Electronic Visit Verification Cures Act Home Health Care Services implementation deadline by one year.
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services have approved this request and HHSC will implement EVV for Medicaid home health care services on Jan. 1, 2024.
HHSC will continue analyzing the impacted services required to use EVV by Jan. 1, 2024. Updates will be shared as the implementation progresses, including how to get started with EVV. Review the current resources below.
