HHSC has contracted with The University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing to conduct a study to evaluate the quality of life and quality of care in assisted living facilities. This study was mandated by the 87th Legislature, Regular Session, 2021.
The study will begin this month and requires a representative from the UT School of Nursing to enter your facility to interview residents and staff. An ALF is required to allow the UT representative entrance to the facility and must cooperate with data collection. The representative will show proper identification and will provide the facility with a letter explaining how the study will be conducted.
