Summer Safety Reminders for Child Care Providers

Child Care Regulation wants to remind everyone about water safety and the importance of supervising children.

Summer is the most dangerous time of year for child drownings. Besides drownings, there are several other dangers to be aware of this summer, including:

  • Hot cars.
  • Heatstroke.
  • Spider and snake bites.
  • Natural disasters.
  • Exposure to COVID-19.

To better help you keep children safe, CCR has compiled some Summer Safety Reminders (PDF) with the most up-to-date information on protecting the children in your care. Review the reminders and contact your local CCR office with any questions.
