The MOM Model is a new program that can help pregnant women who have Medicaid get treatment for opioid use disorder (OUD) during and after their pregnancy.

Women who are eligible for Medicaid for Breast and Cervical Cancer (MBCC) receive full Medicaid benefits including cancer treatments and reconstruction. MBCC services are administered in the STAR+PLUS program through a Managed Care Organization (MCO) of the member's choice

The program is available to low-income women, children and adolescents who aren’t eligible for Medicaid, CHIP, CHIP Perinatal or another source that covers the same service.

Primary Health Care Services Program works with clinic sites across Texas to ensure eligible Texas residents can get comprehensive primary health care services, to prevent, detect and treat health problems.

Pregnant and Parenting Intervention (PPI) programs provide intervention services to reduce the impact, severity and cost associated with a substance-exposed pregnancy for the mother and child and their families.

Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program can provide health care for low-income children and families and long-term services and supports for people with disabilities and seniors.

CHIP perinatal coverage provides care to unborn children of pregnant women who are not eligible for Medicaid and who have household income up to 202 percent of the federal poverty income level. 

STAR covers low-income children, pregnant women and families. STAR members get their services through health plans they choose.

The statewide Alternatives to Abortion program promotes childbirth and provides support services to pregnant women and their families, adoptive parents, and parents who have experienced miscarriage or the loss of a child.

HHS provides services to Texas women such as aiding in preventing unintended pregnancies, nurturing healthier pregnancies, addressing domestic violence and taking care of children.
