Texas WIC offers a wide array of resources to support breastfeeding mothers.

Texas WIC encourages WIC offices, lactation centers, health care providers, employers and communities to promote the benefits of breastfeeding and show support for nursing mothers. 

August is National Breastfeeding Month, and Texas WIC is sharing resources to support moms and pregnant women to help meet their breastfeeding goals.

Texas HHSC presented the Shining Star Award to Tyler-based WIC Director Tecora Smith, recognizing her exceptional leadership, service and dedication to the children and families served by Texas WIC, the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children.
