Migrant Worker Outreach

Medicaid health and dental plans are incentivized for effective outreach that helps the children of migrant farm workers get timely health care.

The health and dental plans are ranked for their cooperative efforts with organizations that work with migrant farm workers and their outreach efforts.

Texas Health Steps Timely Medical Checkups

Medicaid health plans can qualify for incentives or be penalized depending on how many members in the plan who are birth through age 20 get regular medical checkups. Reports are done each year by the health plans to show how many new members got checkups within 90 days of enrollment and how many existing members got timely checkups. Health plans are ranked based on the number and percent of members receiving timely checkups
