Texas Cares Rx

Texas Cares Rx will partner with community groups across the state to connect people to Patient Assistance Programs (PAPs) where they can apply to receive low-cost or no-cost prescription medications.

What are Patient Assistance Programs?

PAPs are run by pharmaceutical companies and nonprofit organizations to help people who cannot afford their medications. Texas Cares Rx will recruit a network of volunteers, called Navigators, to help eligible Texans apply and get the medicines they need.

The official Texas Cares Rx website will go live in fall 2024 and will be a central source for program information, launch details and updates.

Who Qualifies for PAPs?

Generally, you must live in the U.S. and be uninsured to qualify for a PAP, but each program has different standards and income guidelines to determine eligibility.
