As developed by the stakeholder driven IDD Strategic Planning Group, the Statewide IDD Strategic Plan is a roadmap for a statewide and strategic approach for addressing gaps in IDD services and policy in the state of Texas. Health and Human Services (HHS) Independent Living Services (ILS) program is an outsourced program to assist consumers with significant disabilities achieve greater independence in the home and community. HHS staff provide oversight and monitoring of the contracted vendors of the Independent Living Program. This report provides an overview of consumers served, services provided, funding available and expenditures through the ILS program and current or future initiatives of HHS for the ILS program.
