The Office of the State Long-Term Care Ombudsman is independent within the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC). This report describes ombudsman services in nursing and assisted living facilities in state fiscal years 2017-18, including recommendations to ensure the highest quality of life and care for residents.
