Final Long-Term Care Plan for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities and Related Conditions

Statute requires an adjusted final biennial plan on capacity following legislative action on appropriations for long-term care services for persons with an intellectual disability. The final plan is approved by HHSC and made available to the public.

H.B. 216 Required Legislative Report on Boarding Homes, December 2020

Section 260.003 required the executive commissioner of the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) to develop and publish model standards for the operation of a boarding home facility and specifies that these standards must address elements such as construction, fire safety, sanitary conditions, reporting and investigation of injuries and incidents, staff education, and assessment of residents.

Office of the State Long-term Care Ombudsman: Ombudsman Annual Report SFY 2019

This report is issued by the Office of the State Long-Term Care Ombudsman to describe the program's activities, including complaint resolution on behalf of nursing and assisted living facility residents. It contains recommendations from the office regarding the rights, care and other issues related to residents.

Report on the Mental Health First Aid Program for Fiscal Year 2020

MHFA is an evidence-based curriculum used to teach individuals how to help someone who may be developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. Health and Safety Code, Section 1001.205(b) requires HHSC to report data on the number of persons trained in MHFA and a detailed accounting of expenditures.

Community Resource Coordination Groups of Texas Biennial Report, 2020

The report provides information about the experiences of CRCGs in their efforts to provide a coordinated approach to service delivery for children, youth, adults, and families with multi-agency needs. This report also includes recommendations for policy and statutory changes at agencies that are involved in the provision of systems of care services and recommendations for the statewide expansion of sites participating in the Texas System of Care.
