This presentation covers Mental Health Services in Texas. It includes an overview of mental health appropriations and services, as well as COVID-19 funding. Topics covered include prevention and early intervention, community-based treatment and recovery, and community-based crisis response. It also addresses inpatient acute care, including contracted private psychiatric beds, community mental health hospital beds, and state hospital beds.
The Texas Cares program was created to improve accessibility to prescription drugs for Texans who are unable to access medication through insurance or other health care coverage. The insulin study report shows the program activities including evaluating implementation, researching population needs, and understanding the landscape of available resources for individuals who need insulin in Texas.
