Medicaid Behavioral Health in Lieu of Services Annual Report -2021

HHSC must implement contract provisions allowing an MCO to offer their members certain medically appropriate, cost-effective, evidence-based services in lieu of mental health or substance use disorder services specified in the Medicaid State Plan. This report contains the maintenance of effort (MOE) information for each federal grant received by HHSC as of September 2021. The Health and Human Services Commission is required to submit this information to the Legislative Budget Board by October 1 and April 1 of each year for each federal grant received by the agency that has an MOE requirement.
