Texas began planning for the unwinding of continuous Medicaid coverage in the summer of 2020. HHSC employed a proactive, multi-pronged communications campaign to inform recipients, health care providers, advocates, and other stakeholders about its plan to unwind continuous Medicaid coverage.
Title XX Social Services Block Grant (SSBG) funds are appropriated by the Texas Legislature and Governor to Texas state agencies to help meet specified social service needs for defined low income and at-risk populations.

Each state agency shall develop a plan for conserving energy and shall set a percentage goal for reducing its usage of electricity, gasoline, and natural gas. Each state agency shall submit the energy conservation plan to the Office of the Governor and the Legislative Budget Board no later than December 1, 2005. Each state agency shall report back to the Office of the Governor and the Legislative Budget Board with goals achieved, and ideas for additional savings on a quarterly basis. The first quarterly report shall be due no later than April 1, 2006.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services requires states to report on specific metrics designed to demonstrate states' progress towards restoring timely application processing and initiating and completing renewals of eligibility for all Medicaid and CHIP enrollees as Continuous Medicaid Coverage ends.

As required by Section 32.047 of the Health and Safety Code, this report contains a five-year strategic plan to improve the diagnosis and treatment of and raise public awareness of hyperemesis gravidarum (HG). This strategic plan provides strategies to increase public awareness and improve the diagnosis and treatment of HG.

A legislative report is annually submitted by the PANS Advisory Council to the Legislature and Governor for recommendations, education, and outreach concerning pediatric acute-onset neuropsychiatric syndrome.
Fourth biannual report to provide an overview of HHSC’s efforts to coordinate with providers to identify and implement initiatives designed to reduce Medicaid recipients’ use of emergency room services as a primary means of receiving health care benefits and HHSC’s efforts to encourage Medicaid providers to continue implementing effective interventions and best practices that were developed and achieved under the DSRIP program.
The report details the demonstration project’s provision of comprehensive medical, therapeutic, and non-medical services to adults and children with special needs and best practices of the model. The report is required to include a review of the one-stop shop model, providing on-site services to individuals with special needs in the Bexar County and south Texas regions.

The quarterly report provides quantitative contact data, highlights trends, and identifies issues affecting Texans who receive or inquire about Medicaid benefits and services through HHS programs, MCOs (Managed Care Organizations) and their vendors.
