The Aging Texas Well Strategic Plan for 2024-2025 identifies the issues that older adults, informal caregivers, and aging services providers identified as top priorities impacting older adults; the strategies HHSC, other state agencies, service providers and other community partners developed to address these priorities; and progress towards implementing these strategies.

The Interoperability for Texas: Powering Health 2022 report provides an in-depth overview of interoperability enhancements within the Texas Health and Human Services agencies. The report notes federal and state changes affecting interoperability and builds upon plans previously discussed in the Interoperability for Texas: Powering Health 2020 report. Progress regarding interoperability of information technology systems continues to expand the exchange of electronic health information within Texas.

This report provides information about Medicaid managed care provider network contract requirements and HHSC efforts to monitor Medicaid managed care provider networks.

The report presents the work of the Ombudsman for Children and Youth in Foster Care for FY2022.

The Promoting Independence Plan is Texas' comprehensive response to the Supreme Court's 1999 Olmstead decision, but also outlines a vision and guiding principle for the Health and Human Services Commission to provide a system of holistic services and supports that foster independence and self-determination for people with disabilities so that they may be able to live fully integrated into their chosen communities. The goals of the 2022 PIP reflect several key areas essential to achieving this vision.

The report provides information about the experiences of CRCGs in their efforts to provide a coordinated approach to service delivery for children, youth, adults, and families with multi-agency needs. This report also includes recommendations for policy and statutory changes at agencies that are involved in the provision of systems of care services and recommendations for the statewide expansion of sites participating in the Texas System of Care.

The Statewide Behavioral Health Coordinating Council has developed a new five-year behavioral health
strategic plan for fiscal years 2022 - 2026. This plan also includes a statewide, strategic approach to prevent and reduce justice involvement for those with behavioral health needs.
