Medically Dependent Children Program Monitoring Report is a legislatively required report containing, for the most recent state fiscal quarter, information and data related to access to care for Medicaid recipients receiving benefits under the Medically Dependent Children Program (MDCP) waiver program.

The 2021 annual Children with Special Health Care Needs Client Demographics Report provides a demographic description of both the population served by the Children with Special Health Care Needs (CSHCN) program and of the individuals on the program’s waiting list.

This report describes HHSC Value-Based Care Strategy Background, Managed Care Value-Based Payments Programs, the 1115 Healthcare Transformation Waiver, specifically the Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment Program, The Directed-Payment Programs, Trends in Key Quality Measures, HIV Viral Suppression and the number of individuals who relocated to a community setting.

The Aging Texas Well Strategic Plan for the 2022-2023 biennium is submitted in accordance with Executive Order RP-42 (Appendix A). The executive order established key mandates to direct the ATW initiative and state leaders on policy planning for older Texans. The executive order also instructs the Aging Texas Well Advisory Committee to guide and support state leadership on aging-related matters and requires Texas Health and Human Services Commission to develop a biennial working plan to identify and discuss aging policy issues, guide state government readiness, and promote increased community preparedness for the aging Texas population.

The report presents the work of the Ombudsman for Children and Youth in Foster Care for FY2021.

This report provides information demonstrating continuity of services, amount of grants awarded to each grantee, expenditure amounts for program and administration, and oversight activities relating to child advocacy programs. Additionally, the report summarizes program data, explains the effectiveness of each advocacy contract, and discusses the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on both TXCASA and CACTX.

Article 46B.090(n) requires HHSC’s executive commissioner to submit a report concerning the jail-based competency restoration pilot program, including information collected and an evaluation of the outcome of the program.

HHSC must implement contract provisions allowing an MCO to offer their members certain medically appropriate, cost-effective, evidence-based services in lieu of mental health or substance use disorder services specified in the Medicaid State Plan. HHSC is also required to prepare and submit an annual report on the number of times during the preceding year a service from the list included in the contract is used.

MHFA is an evidence-based curriculum used to teach individuals how to help someone who may be developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. Health and Safety Code, Section 1001.205(b) requires HHSC to report data on the number of persons trained in MHFA and a detailed accounting of expenditures.

This fourth quarterly report reflects activities and findings of the Data Analytics Unit for State Fiscal Year 2021.
