Pilot Program for Providing Medical Transportation to Pregnant Women and New Mothers - Pilot Results

HHSC must implement a pilot allowing a woman during and after pregnancy enrolled in STAR to bring another child with her when using nonemergency medical transportation (NEMT) services. The intent of the bill is to increase access to prenatal and postpartum health care services; reduce pregnancy-related complications; and decrease the rate of missed appointments by this population.
