MHFA is an evidence-based curriculum used to teach individuals how to help someone who may be developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. Health and Safety Code, Section 1001.205(b) requires HHSC to report data on the number of persons trained in MHFA and a detailed accounting of expenditures.
The report provides information about the experiences of CRCGs in their efforts to provide a coordinated approach to service delivery for children, youth, adults, and families with multi-agency needs. This report also includes recommendations for policy and statutory changes at agencies that are involved in the provision of systems of care services and recommendations for the statewide expansion of sites participating in the Texas System of Care.

HHS has developed the Disability Services Action Plan to improve the system and delivery of services for Texans with physical, intellectual and developmental disabilities. The plan includes 27 recommendations under four initiatives: training and support, communication, policy and rules and system redesign.

The report of the Texas Autism Council is a statutorily required biannual report from the Texas Autism Council to the Executive Commissioner including recommendations to ensure that the needs of persons of all ages with autism spectrum disorder and their families are addressed and that all available resources are coordinated to meet those needs.
