The Foster Care Capacity Needs Report is a plan to increase the placement capacity for children in foster care in each catchment area in Texas.

Texas Health and Safety Code §242.005 requires HHSC to prepare an annual report on the operation and administration of its responsibilities under Chapter 242. This report describes the regulation of nursing facilities and other entities that provide long-term care and has been prepared to meet the reporting requirement of Texas Health and Safety Code §242.005.

The Quality Monitoring Early Warning System (EWS) for Long-Term Care Facilities report describes the effectiveness of the statistical model used to identify conditions in long-term care facilities that are detrimental to residents’ health, safety, and welfare. The EWS is used to prioritize activities of the non-regulatory Quality Monitoring Program.

This report contains information pertaining to our regulation of nursing facilities and other long-term care providers. This report is a requirement of Texas Health and Safety Code, Chapter 242, §242.005.
