Report on the Mental Health First Aid Program for Fiscal Year 2021

MHFA is an evidence-based curriculum used to teach individuals how to help someone who may be developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. Health and Safety Code, Section 1001.205(b) requires HHSC to report data on the number of persons trained in MHFA and a detailed accounting of expenditures.

This report contains the maintenance of effort (MOE) information for each federal grant received by HHSC as of September 2021. The Health and Human Services Commission is required to submit this information to the Legislative Budget Board by October 1 and April 1 of each year for each federal grant received by the agency that has an MOE requirement.
