Implementation of Acute Care Services and Long-term Services and Supports System Redesign for Individuals with an Intellectual or Developmental Disability - 2019

The Legislature directed HHSC to design and implement an acute care and long tern services and supports system for individuals with an intellectual and developmental disability (IDD). The 2019 annual report on the implementation of the IDD system redesign was coordinated between HHSC and the IDD System Redesign Advisory Committee.

State Supported Living Centers Obstacles to Community Referral and Transition FY2017

The State of Texas settlement agreement with the Department of Justice regarding 12 state supported living centers (SSLCs) and the intermediate care facility (ICF) component of the Rio Grande State Center (collectively the “SSLCs”) requires, in Section II.T.1.g., that each SSLC gather and analyze information related to identified obstacles to the movement of individuals to more integrated settings that are consistent with their needs and preferences.
