HHSC is Legislatively required to develop and implement a five-year strategic plan to improve access to postpartum depression (PPD) screening, referral, treatment, and support services.

HHSC must submit a report on electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) annually to the Governor and presiding of each house of the Legislature as required by Health and Safety Code, Chapter 578, Section 578.008(b). The report includes a summary of data received from ECT treatment providers.
