The following documents must be submitted to the Health and Human Services Commission to support the Inventory for Client and Agency Planning ratings and increase in services and supports for a person in the Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with an Intellectual Disability or Related Conditions program or the Home and Community-based Services program that warrants an increased level of need due to dangerous behavior.

The following documents must be submitted to the Health and Human Services Commission to support the Inventory for Client and Agency Planning ratings and increased supports and services being provided to a person in the Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with an Intellectual Disability or Related Conditions program, the Home and Community-based Services program or the Texas Home Living program that warrants an increased level of need due to extremely dangerous or life-threatening behavior.

The following documents must be submitted to the Health and Human Services Commission to support the Inventory for Client and Agency Planning ratings and increased services and supports for a person in the Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with an Intellectual Disability or Related Conditions Program or the Home and Community-based Services Program whose medical conditions require nursing interventions of 181 or more minutes per week. The level of need may be increased to the next higher level of need if supported by the documents.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has indicated that the blanket waiver, allowing temporary nurse aides to work for longer than four months without completing their Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program (NATCEP) or Competency Evaluation Program (CEP), will end May 11, 2023.

On Dec. 1, 2022, HHSC began issuing temporary licenses to Individualized Skills and Socialization Providers.

HHSC Long-term Care Regulation will be providing a one-day, in-person training event for current and potential Individualized Skills and Socialization Providers on Monday, April 3. Training will take place in the Public Hearing Room at the John H. Winters Building in Austin, Texas.

This training is for registered nurses, physical, occupational and speech therapists who collect OASIS data.
