Assisted Living Facility providers are strongly encouraged to attend this and all Long-term Care Regulation ALF COVID-19 webinars.

The Texas Medical Foundation is hosting a series of webinars in March for nursing facility (NF) staff.

HHSC is temporarily waiving certain requirements in Section 3710, 4381.3, 4381.7(6) and 4381.7(7) of the Home and Community-based Services Billing Guidelines and the Texas Home Living Billing Guidelines. This is due to COVID-19 and provides access to needed day habilitation services.

Nursing facility providers should attend this and all COVID-19 webinars with HHSC Long-term Care Regulation and the Texas Department of State Health Services. LTCR and DSHS will provide the latest information on the COVID-19 pandemic and take live questions from participants.

CMS issued revised QSO-21-08-NLTC (PDF) . It informs surveyors of acute and continuing care facilities, including home health and hospice agencies, that use of the special COVID-19 focused infection control surveys and tools are no longer needed on a national basis.

HHSC is not currently assessing compliance with CMS’s Omnibus COVID-19 Health Care Staff Vaccination rules, published in the Federal Register on Nov. 5, 2021.
