The Individualized Skills and Socialization Provider page is an online source of information for providers of Individualized Skills and Socialization. This page allows providers to complete and review trainings, find and review provider letters, and link to rules and other services.

Texas Health and Human Services contracts with licensed agencies to provide personal assistance services to people who have physical disabilities who are mentally and emotionally competent and willing to supervise their attendant or have someone who can supervise the attendant for them. The individual interviews, selects, trains, supervises and releases their personal assistants. Health-related tasks are prescribed by physician.

HHAeXchange is hosting an Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) Town Hall Webinar on Thursday, April 25, from 1–3 p.m. Central time for program providers and financial management services agencies (FMSAs) who use HHAeXchange as their EVV system.

HHSC has posted the new and revised policies for using the mobile method, effective April 1, 2024, that will be added to the Electronic Visit Verification Policy Handbook in an upcoming revision.

As a reminder, beginning April 1, Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) visit transactions with dates of service on or after April 1, 2024, will receive new visit transaction rejection codes, if the EVV Aggregator receives incomplete or incorrect data.

The HHSC hold harmless period for Individualized Skills and Socialization providers ends on March 17, 2024.
