CMS rescinded memorandum QSO-20-31-ALL, the Enhanced Enforcement for Infection Control Deficiencies, and replaced it with memorandum QSO-23-10-NH, revised guidance for Strengthened Enhanced Enforcement for Infection Control Deficiencies.

As part of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ (CMS) migration of the Minimum Data Set (MDS) submission and reporting functionality to their Internet Quality Improvement and Evaluation System (iQIES), CMS will turn off the current Assessment Submission and Processing (ASAP) system’s ability to accept any MDS transmissions on April 13, 2023, at 8 p.m. ET.
