On October 1, 2023, the Texas Medicaid & Healthcare Partnership (TMHP) will implement the following changes to the Minimum Data Set (MDS) comprehensive and quarterly assessments on the Long-Term Care Online Portal (LTCOP).

As part of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ (CMS) migration of the Minimum Data Set (MDS) submission and reporting functionality to their Internet Quality Improvement and Evaluation System (iQIES), CMS will turn off the current Assessment Submission and Processing (ASAP) system’s ability to accept any MDS transmissions on April 13, 2023, at 8 p.m. ET.

Local intellectual and developmental disability authorities (LIDDAs) and Home and Community-based Services (HCS) program providers have recently set forth new requirements in Title 26, Texas Administrative Code (26 TAC), Chapter 263, scheduled to be effective, March 1, 2023.
