On Friday, HHSC published a notice announcing a power outage that affected the processing of Electronic Visit Verification visit transactions. The Texas Medicaid and Healthcare Partnership has now processed all impacted visit transactions successfully. All processing is back to normal.

HHSC has postponed when Electronic Visit Verification claims for Home and Community-based Services and Texas Home Living will start to be denied for not matching an accepted EVV visit transaction.

On July 1, HHSC submitted a good faith effort request to get federal approval to extend the Electronic Visit Verification Cures Act Home Health Care Services implementation deadline by one year.

The purpose of this notice is to inform stakeholders that HHSC’s contract for the current Electronic Visit Verification vendor systems (AuthentiCare and Vesta EVV) is scheduled to expire on Aug. 31, 2023.
