The SSPD program provides services in a variety of settings to assist individuals in developing the skills needed to remain in the community as independently as possible. Texas Health and Human Services contracts with licensed agencies to provide personal assistance services to people who have physical disabilities who are mentally and emotionally competent and willing to supervise their attendant or have someone who can supervise the attendant for them. The individual interviews, selects, trains, supervises and releases their personal assistants. Health-related tasks are prescribed by physician.

Home Delivered Meals provides nutritious noontime meals delivered to people in their homes on a scheduled basis. Meals may also be delivered to a location other than an individual's home, provided the location is within the provider's service area and is approved by the case worker. Those eligible for HDM are aged 18 years or older. An interest list is maintained for people interested in applying for this program. This page contains information for HDM providers.

HHAeXchange is hosting an Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) Town Hall Webinar on Thursday, April 25, from 1–3 p.m. Central time for program providers and financial management services agencies (FMSAs) who use HHAeXchange as their EVV system.
