Effective Aug. 1, 2023, the Texas Health and Human Services Commission and managed care organizations will no longer conduct EVV compliance reviews for required free text.

Electronic Visit Verification claims matching for home health care services will begin on Jan. 1, 2024. EVV claims with dates of service of Jan. 1, 2024, and after do not have an EVV visit match will be denied.

HHSC will require Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) for Medicaid home health care services (HHCS) beginning Jan. 1, 2024, as listed in the Home Health Care Services required to use EVV (PDF).
