In March 2020, HHSC started a temporary policy change for respite and Community First Choice (CFC) Personal Assistance Services (PAS)/Habilitation (HAB) provided in the Home and Community-based Services (HCS) and Texas Home Living (TxHmL) waiver programs. This temporary policy change is effective March 27, 2020, through March 31, 2025. HHSC will provide guidance if anything changes.

Effective April 22, Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) program providers, financial management services agencies (FMSAs), and Consumer Direct Services (CDS) employers who use HHAeXchange as their EVV system may now perform visit maintenance processes for dates of service prior to their go-live date with HHAeXchange.
