The Early Intervention Specialist (EIS) Individualized Professional Development Plan (IPDP) Credentialing module is a streamlined and self-paced process for certifying an EIS employed by Texas ECI contractors. This module was designed to help ECI program personnel: Understand their role in the Family Cost Share (FCS) system, Know the legal requirements for implementing FCS, Be sensitive and culturally competent in financial discussions with families, Accurately complete FCS calculations and forms, and Review the FCS Agreement and adjust a family’s maximum charge, as appropriate.

The Service Responsibility Option is an additional option of consumer direction. SRO lets consumers select, train and manage most of the day-to-day activities of their attendants, such as when they work and how they perform their duties. The provider agency of the participant's choosing remains the employer of record and handles all of the personnel and business details

The SSPD program provides services in a variety of settings to assist individuals in developing the skills needed to remain in the community as independently as possible. Services included in the service plan consist of counseling, personal care and help with the development of skills needed for independent living in the community.
