The Texas Women, Infants and Children Dietetic Internship is housed in the Texas Health and Human Services Commission's WIC program. The internship is designed to train qualified nutritionists employed within the Texas Health and Human Services Commission's WIC program or local Texas WIC agencies, to become registered dietitian nutritionists.
The Texas WIC Dietetic Internship is not currently admitting students.
Applications are currently being accepted for our next class and are due by March 31st, 2025. Refer to the Prospective Student Brochure below for application instructions. Qualified applicants will not be admitted until our admissions hold ends. We expect to admit students again for a 2026 class.
Internship staff are working to revamp the internship recruitment model to allow for a broader pool of applicants. Details regarding the new recruitment model will be available on this website as soon as available.
