The Texas WIC Program offers vendors the opportunity to add items to the Authorized Product List (APL) year-round, except for the following which may only be submitted during the Annual Open Enrollment period:
- Cereal
- Oatmeal
- Yogurt
- Pasta
- Tofu
- Soy Milk
To verify if a UPC is already authorized by the Texas WIC Program, view the WIC Authorized Product List.
Instructions for submitting a new UPC
Via Email
The following must be included in the request:
- Subject Line: Request to add UPC, insert brand name and food item
- Unit Price
- Attach a picture of the item label(s). The picture must be clear, showing the following:
- Item Name
- Size
- UPC Barcode
- Ingredients
- Nutrition Facts
Via Fax
Download and complete the Request to Add a UPC form (PDF), then fax the completed form to:
