Supportive Housing is an evidence-based practice that teaches people who are at high risk of becoming homeless find safe, affordable housing. It also helps people learn skills to keep housing and live independently. Eligibility criteria includes:
- Anyone 18 years or older who is eligible for services by a local mental health authority or local behavioral health authority; or
- Anyone 18 years or older who participates in an HHS funded housing program.

- Housing and Health Services Coordination Council. The Housing and Health Services Coordination Council is codified in Texas Government Code §2306.1091. The purpose of the council is to increase state efforts to offer service-enriched housing through increased coordination of housing and health services.
