The following provisions apply to all organizations and individuals administering Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) in Texas.
Equipment Registration
Providers must register equipment used to administer the therapy by completing and submitting Form 8205 Exhibit D before initial use and annually thereafter to HHSC.
Quarterly Reporting
On a quarterly basis, the chief executive officer of a mental hospital or other facility shall email Exhibit C (MS Word) on the form entitled "Report of ECT/Other Therapies." The reporting format requires clinical data from before, after, and 30 days after treatment.
