HHSC Long-Term Care Regulation Joint Training is offering webinars in March for registered nurses and physical, occupational and speech therapists who collect Outcome and Assessment Information Set (OASIS) data.
Each training will offer guidance for the new CMS All-Payer OASIS Submission Requirement that went into effect Jan. 1 and is mandatory starting July 1, 2025.
OASIS for Clinicians: OASIS-E1 Items Section C — Cognitive Patterns Plus OASIS "All-Payer" Submission Information will provide foundational guidance on Section C of the OASIS-E1 Data Set. It will cover general and item-specific guidance for items C0200–C0500, and items M1700–M1720. The webinar will also cover basic Brief Interview for Mental Status (BIMS) instructions that assess cognitive function, and the BIMS and Signs and Symptoms of Delirium from the Confusion Assessment Method (CAM)©.

OASIS-E1 Section D — Mood & Section E — Behavior with All-Payer OASIS Submission Requirement will provide foundational guidance on Section D and Section E of the OASIS-E1 Data Set. It will cover general and item-specific guidance for Items D0150, D0160 and D0700 used to assess for mood distress and social isolation, along with M1740 and M1745 items assessing behaviors.
