Sept. 12 Texas MDS Webinar on Overview of Clinical Information

HHSC will host a Minimum Data Set (MDS) webinar and provide an overview of clinical information. Nursing facility providers are urged to attend.

The webinar will cover:

  • Medical and clinical documentation required by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
  • Transfer of appropriate clinical information at transitions of care.
  • A brief discussion of High-Risk Drug Classes.
  • The importance of accurate diagnoses in Section I and appropriate supporting documentation.
  • The importance of coding accurate clinical information in Section J and the clinical record.
  • The importance of accurate coding on the MDS.
