Guidance on Service Planning Activities and Budget Updates for Attendant Rates Effective Sept. 1, 2023

HHSC issued Information Letter 2023-33 related to increased payment rates authorized under the 2024-25 General Appropriations Act, House Bill 1, 88th Legislature, Regular Session, 2023 (Article II, HHSC, Rider 30(a)). The new rates will be effective Sept. 1, 2023. HHSC is currently working to update forms to reflect the rate increases.

HHSC will soon issue guidance describing specific actions service planning teams may need to take to ensure that service plans and budgets reflect the increased rates, as appropriate. HHSC will work with service planning teams, financial management services agencies and providers if additional time is needed to complete these actions.
